LABOR & BIRTH DOULA

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.”

~ Ina May Gaskin

Doulas “mother the mother” by providing physical and emotional support. It has been shown that doula support lowers the amount of medical interventions, increases breast/chest feeding success rates, and increases a family’s satisfaction with their birth process.  As a doula, I am hired to work for you, not for your midwife/family doctor/OB or hospital.

A doula provides non-medicalized physical and emotional support to the laboring parent and their family no matter their chosen location of birth including comfort measures, verbal encouragement, and rest and food breaks for partner.
